Several Iranian political prisoners held in Ward 2 of Gohardasht (Rajai-Shahr) Prison in Karaj, north-west of Tehran
Iran, July 16, 2017 - Political prisoners in Gohardasht notorious prison in the city of Karaj, northwestern Tehran on Saturday, July 15, braved the suppressive measures imposed by the prison guards and chanted death to the dictator and 'Death to the principal of the Velayat Faghih'(Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist).
This happened at 16:40 on Saturday, July 15th, after the prison warden Yousof Mardi, his deputy, Mirzaie and a number of suppressive guards raided the Ward no. 4 of Hall no. 12 of Gohardasht Prison attacking and beating up on prisoners, especially the prominent opposition figure, Khaled Hardani.
This vicious and inhuman act prompted the political prisoners in that ward to react by shouting and chanting anti-government slogans. They shouted 'Death to the Dictator' and 'Death to the principle of the guardianship of the mullahs' jurist, which is referred to the Supreme leader, Khamenei.
Mirzaie, the deputy warden who is a well-known vicious man continued to beat the prisoners with clubs and electric batons. He was motivated by Khamenei's decree of 'fire at will' to suppress as much as desired.
