Anti-Iran Regime Protests in Brussels and London

Members and supporters of Iranian opposition group, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) held a demonstration in front of the European Commission in Brussels on Monday to call for Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence to added to the European Union’s terror black list; four months after an Iranian plot to blow up an opposition rally in Paris was foiled by European authorities.

In early October, French officials said that they had “no doubt” that Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence was behind the plot to attack the rally, especially after Iranian diplomat Assadollah Assadi was arrested for planning the terrorist attack.

Paulo Casaca, a former member of the European Parliament, said: “I was among the people who were there on June 30. So I can say that, even personally, I have a case here to the European External Action Service (EEAS) and there has not been a single word from the EEAS on the issue.”

The protesters also condemned the EU for remaining silent on mass executions, human rights violations and repression of women in Iran.

NCRI member Firouz Mahvi said: “We expect EU today to break the silence. We want EU to be active and to be on the side of Iranian people.”

The NCRI also held a protest in Downing Street on Saturday to draw attention to the human rights abuses of the Iranian Regime and hopefully encourage Prime Minister Theresa May to put more pressure on the Regime.

The protesters chanted slogans advocating for the overthrow of the Iranian Regime, including “Down with Rouhani! Down with Khamenei!” and “Change! Change! Change! Regime change in Iran!”.

The NCRI and Amnesty International report that Iran executed over 500 people in 2017 alone – accounting for almost 60% of the region’s overall executions – and that at least 31 took place in public. The NCRI also revealed that the Iranian Regime executed more than 30 people in September and at least five juveniles during the first half of 2018.

Further, the Iranian opposition said that over 70 people who supported the ongoing truckers’ strike in Iran have been arrested and threatened with execution.

The event featured a number of speakers who addressed the crowd about human rights abuses in Iran.

Dr Jocelyn Scotts condemned Iran’s use of the death penalty and torture and noted that the Iranian people are protesting against this brutality.

While NCRI supporter Naghmeh Rajabi said: “There needs to be more pressure to bring a halt to all of these executions, especially the public hangings that are happening.

Children, people, normal people are walking in the streets and they see bodies hanging from cranes. That’s kind of becoming a normality in Iran and it is completely unacceptable in the twenty-first century.”

She advised that if the UK was going to keep doing business with Iran, then it should take action against its human rights abuses, but that the best solution would be regime change.

The Iranian regime is plotting attacks outside of its own borders and will go the distance of carrying out these measures “beyond the seas,” according to a top military figure. Tehran will seek to conduct attacks on those the mullahs consider their "enemies," said former Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) chief Yahya Rahim Safavi.

Such statements are further highlighting the Iranian regime’s clandestine operations inside mainland United States and throughout Europe, especially after two operatives in Albania and a number of others, including a Vienna-based diplomat, in Germany, Belgium and France have been arrested on terrorism-related charges.

"We warn the enemies of the Islamic Revolution that if they make an aggression against the Islamic Iran, we will chase and punish them not only outside the borders but also beyond the seas," Safavi, a top aide to Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said on Monday in Tehran.

The remarks were made just days after the IRGC launched a missile strike in Iraq's Kurdistan region targeting Iranian Kurdish dissident groups. The Iranian regime has vowed further strikes in its western neighbor.

Tehran has claimed responsibility of conducting airstrikes during the weekend.

"The IRGC Aerospace Force's missile unit in cooperation with the IRGC Ground Force's drone unit targeted the headquarters and a meeting of the leaders of a filthy and criminal grouplet and a center for training affiliated terrorists with 7 short-range ground-to-ground missiles yesterday (Saturday)," the IRGC said in a statement provided by state-controlled press.

Safavi's rhetoric also comes after the arrest of two Iranian regime operatives in the United States facing charges of plotting terror attacks against various targets and gathering information about Iranian opposition members. U.S. officials are warning about Iranian regime espionage activities expanding beyond their borders and the mullahs’ regime gaining further capability of conducting terror attacks throughout the Middle East and even across the globe.

Mike Pompeo condemns Iran regime violation of Human Rights, Terrorism and attempt to bomb an Iranian opposition convention in Paris

In his Remarks at supporting Iranian voices at Reagan Library in Los Angeles on Sunday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo condemned the violation of human rights in Iran, clausal stealing by the Iranian authorities, exporting terrorism and an attempt to bomb an Iranian opposition gathering in France.

The followings are excerpts from his speech at the Reagan Library.

Just earlier this month an Iranian “diplomat” based in Vienna was arrested and charged with supplying explosives for a terrorist bomb, scheduled to bomb a political rally in France. This tells you everything you need to know about the regime.

The regime and its allies in terror have left a trail of dissident blood across Europe and the Middle East. Indeed, our European allies are not immune to the threat of the regime by terrorism.

 At the same time they’re trying to convince Europe to stay in the nuclear deal, they are covertly plotting terrorist attacks in the heart of Europe.

The level of corruption and wealth among regime leaders shows that Iran is run by something that resembles the mafia more than a government.

We are asking every nation who is sick and tired of the Islamic Republic's destructive behavior to join our pressure campaign. This especially goes for our allies in the Middle East and Europe, people who have themselves been terrorized by the violent regime's activity for decades. 

40 years of fruit from Iran’s Islamic Revolution has been bitter. 40 years of kleptocracy. 40 years of the people’s wealth squandered on terrorism. 40 years of Iranians jailed for expressing their rights.

Despite the regime’s clear record of aggression, America and other countries have spent years straining to identify a political moderate; it’s like an Iranian unicorn!

The regime’s revolutionary goals and willingness to commit violent acts haven’t produced anyone to lead Iran that can be remotely called a moderate, or a statesman.

Some believe that President Rouhani and foreign minister Zarif are moderates. The truth is, they are merely polished front men for the Ayatollah’s international con-artistry. Their nuclear deal didn’t make them moderates, it made them wolves in sheep’s clothing.

The regime cannot endure any ideas in society that would contradict or undermine them. That is why the regime has for decades heartlessly repressed its own people’s human rights, dignity, and fundamental freedoms.

Since December Iranians have been taking to the streets in the most enduring and forceful protests since 1979. Some shout the slogan “the people are impoverished while the Mullahs live like Gods!” while others choose to shut down the Grand Bazaar in Tehran.

The specific grievances do differ but all those voicing dissatisfaction share one thing; they have been ill-treated by a revolutionary regime. Iranians want to be governed with dignity, accountability and respect

Last January the regime welcomed the New Year with the arrest of 5000 of its own people; they were peacefully calling for a better life. Hundreds reportedly remain behind bars and several are dead at the hands of its own government; the leaders cynically call it suicide.

On Wednesday morning, April 18, 2018, Bahman Varmarzyar was hanged in Hamadan’s Central Prison. Also on the same day, seven more prisoners were hanged in Karaj Gohardasht prison.

The executions in Iran under the rule of mullahs are still going on. It’s been years now that the scenes of execution, torture, stoning, etc. have turned into a reality imposed on Iranian people.

Thousands of the Iranian regime dissidents were executed or killed in different ways over the past 39 years.

More than one million Iranians were killed during the regime’s anti-patriotic Iran-Iraq war.

Hundreds of thousands of people in countries like Iraq, Syria, and Yemen have been sacrificed due to Iranian regime’s interventions in the region.

All these cases prove that the dictatorship ruling Iran can’t survive without shedding blood.

In Persian mythology, Zahak was an oppressive ruler who sacrificed two young men every day to feed the two snakes on his shoulder, so he himself could remain unharmed.

Today’s circumstances in Iran are even more painful than the myth, so much so that it won’t be an exaggeration to say that dozens of people on average have been killed every day under the Iranian regime.

As a sports coach, Bahman Varmarzyar was charged with robbing a jewelry shop at gunpoint on March 31, 2015. Although there was no private plaintiff involved, Varmarzyar turned himself in 18 days after committing the crime, giving the stolen items back to the shop owner while expressing regret for what he had done.

Any execution carried out in Iran is actually a crime inside a bigger one, as with every arrest and execution, millions of hearts will be left in pain.

There are many who stand up to save a life. One or more family lives will be totally distorted, and lots of human emotions and feelings will be shattered.

Following the efforts Bahman’s family made to save their child from execution, the mullahs regime falsely informed them a day before the execution that the process was stopped. The next morning, however, they executed him.

With every execution, our curious minds and worried hearts keep asking who the next will be. Will he be Mehdi Cheraghi, who was also sentenced to death along with Bahman in the same case, or will he be the Kurd political prisoner Ramin Hosseinpanahi, or many others who have been sentenced to death by regime’s judiciary? Who knows? There are thousands of political and non-political prisoners waiting for their death sentence in prisons across Iran.

According to reports, there’s a new wave of executing prisoners in Iran as the regime is on the verge of an imminent collapse. This is what Iranian people’s uprising tells us; an uprising that has started four months ago and is now quite prepared for taking bigger steps towards its ultimate goal, overthrowing the mullahs’ regime.

While the regime keeps executing the country’s young people for such charges like smuggling or robbery, the biggest thieves in Iran’s history are regime leader Ali Khamenei together with other mullahs from regime’s rival bands, the Revolutionary Guards, and other state organs, who have plundered billions of dollars of Iranian people’s wealth.

The purpose of such barbaric executions is to create an even bigger environment of fear and thus to cope with the overwhelmed Iranian people’s protests.

It’s now on the international community to come out in support of Iranian people and make its relations with the Iranian regime conditional on its improving human rights record and stopping torture and execution. This is the least demand by people who are prepared to bring down the religious dictatorship ruling Iran.

Iran: Student protests against the Iran regime on the occasion of the student day

The past days, various universities in the country were the scene of student protests against the Iranian regime on the occasion of the Student Day. The anti-student regime announce Thursday December 7 as a holiday in order to prevent the spread of student protests.
Students at the Abadan University of Oil Industry, on Thursday, December 7, went on hunger strike in protest of government officials' failure to respond to students' demands and protests.
On Dec. 5, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, the Melli University (Beheshti), and the University of Qom and Neyshabur witnessed student protest gatherings with the slogans of 'free political prisoners'.
In the Ferdowsi Hall of the University of Tehran, students disrupted the speech of a regime agent with the slogans 'University is not a Garrison', 'University is Prison, prisons are garrisons', .... At the University of Qom, the students left the hall during a speech by a member of the regime's parliament and did not allow the holding and continuation of the meeting.
Students at the University of Zanjan also celebrated the Student Day by setting up a photo exhibition of student activities against the regime along with slogans such as 'Student should not be in prison, university is not garrison'. In Urumia, students also chanted slogans in their gathering against gender discrimination, charging tuition fee by public universities and the poverty of students.
On Monday morning, December 5, students from the universities of Tehran, Allameh Tabataba'i and Kharazmi (Teacher Training) and the Melli University gathered and protested while chanting:  'Student dies, does not accept humiliation', “gender discrimination is condemned ','no to gender discrimination ' and ' from Babol to Abadan, Repression of students',' girls' dormitories are prisons', 'free education is our absolute right'.
They also protested against widespread corruption and poverty and unemployment and its damaging byproducts by chanting slogans 'Both Parliament and Government, Control Room of Plunder', 'Housing, Job and Treatment, and Free Education are demands of the toilers', “Forced labor at the university, unemployment when graduated '.
Students at Tehran University portrayed a corner of the crackdown, arrests and torture, and execution of students by performing a show. The regime's intelligence agents at the university (Harassat) attacked the rally and arrested one of the students. Students chanted slogans in protest to his arrest unanimously: 'University is not garrison, detained student must be freed'.
Students at the Sistan and Baluchestan University in Zahedan also protested in their protest gathering on December 2 against the presence of Rouhani in that university for the occasion of Student Day. They chanted 'Student dies, does not accept humiliation', 'Imprisoned Students should be released'.
