Unprecedented attacks targeting Khamenei in Iran’s parliament

The Iranian regime’s Majlis (parliament)

On Tuesday, September 2nd, an open-door session of the Iranian regime’s Majlis (parliament) became the scene of a number of Majlis members acknowledging the regime’s crises and “super challenges” while criticizing Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and his policies for their status quo.
These unprecedented attacks came at a time when Khamenei himself is engulfed in circumstances that the regime’s so-called Assembly of Experts held a session on the same day to inject new life into his role as the Supreme Leader in public opinion. Ahmad Jannati, head of the Assembly of Experts, said all the country’s dilemmas are blamed on Khamenei.
Majlis member Gholamreza Heidari said, “The significant decrease in the value of our currency, skyrocketing prices, even for basic daily necessities, are all signs indicating the country is not being managed correctly.”
He referred to the bipolar status of power in the mullahs’ regime and called for changes in the “country’s managing system,” asking Khamenei to hold a referendum to resolve the country’s issues.
Parvin Salahshouri, another Majlis member, described Khamenei and his military apparatus as the elements behind the country’s crises and super challenges.
“We are witnessing military personnel entering politics, the economy and culture, and the joint efforts involving cultural and military entities. Now, the President says we have no challenges at all. Mr. President, we are currently engulfed with super challenges and everyone knows that” she said.
Salashouri called on Khamenei to step forward to resolve Iran’s crises and super challenges, and order a re-evaluation of the constitution. She also called for military entities to return to military bases and focus on their own duties, allowing the country’s economy and culture to recover.
As the Iranian people’s living conditions become more difficult with skyrocketing prices, and as the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) continues to expand its resistance units across the country, we have reached circumstances where Majlis members are feeling the threats and are attempting to portray themselves as supporters of the people, criticizing Khamenei and his supporters as a result.
The regime’s utter fear of being overthrown by the Mujahedin has reached a point where Majlis members are literally begging Khamenei to step forward and take action to prevent the economy from crumbling in the face of corruption.

#Iran Lobby's Attacks on #Bolton Are Completely False https://irannewsupdate.com/news/general/4796-iran-lobby-s-attacks-on-bolton-are-completely-false.html via @BowThemes

IRAN LOBBY'S ATTACKS ON BOLTON ARE COMPLETELY FALSE

INU - The Iranian Regime’s appeasement lobby in the US has gone into overdrive since the appointment of former ambassador to the UN John Bolton as the new National Security Adviser, in an attempt to smear Bolton as a warmonger who wants nothing more than to attack Iran.
These almost daily articles actually reveal that the Iranian Regime must be feeling weak if they are lashing out in such a way, but let’s get one thing straight: Bolton is not a warmonger.
He simply seeks rational discussions on strike first policies if Iran obtains nuclear weapons, a position which has bipartisan support in Congress. Also, it’s beyond hypocritical to accuse him of that when Iran is behind some of the biggest and most ongoing conflicts in the Middle East (i.e. Syria and Yemen).
It would be more apt to call Bolton a realist as he recognises that the West's appeasement policy has done nothing to reign in Iran’s malign behaviour. This appeasement policy, which includes the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal, has merely enriched the mullahs at the expense of their people and allowed Iran's malign behaviour to grow.
The nuclear deal lifted sanctions against the mullahs and released $150 billion of frozen assets into the hands of terrorists who used it to fund war and sectarian violence across the Middle East. None of this money went to the Iranian people, it was instead used to fund the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and Quds Force, both of which are listed terrorist organizations in the West, as well as the Bashar Assad Regime in Syria, Shi'ia militias in Iraq, the Houthi rebels in Yemen, and the terrorist Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Another reason that Bolton has come under attack from the Iran lobby is his open support for the democratic opposition movement, the People's Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI or MEK).
Bolton frequently advocates for the MEK and speaks at MEK events, including the 2017 Free Iran rally in Paris where he promised 100,000 attendees that the Iranian Regime would fall before its 40th birthday.
Bolton sees that the Iranian Regime is the most repressive government in the Middle East, with its mass executions, media censorship, bans on education, misogynistic laws, and constant attempts at indoctrination. That’s why he supports regime change as the only answer to the problems caused by Iran.
More importantly, the Iranian people support it too, as evidenced by their recent uprisings in which they explicitly called for regime change. In response to this, the mullahs arrested over 8,000 people and have tortured at least 14 of those to death.
That’s why it’s so important that the Trump administration not only vocally supported the protests, but also appointed more people willing to bring change to Iran.
Former MEP Struan Stevenson, who is the coordinator of Campaign for Iran Change, wrote: “Bolton has been advocating a firm policy with Tehran for the past two decades... He should now be supported in his efforts to adopt a resolute policy with Iran to prevent more wars and bloodshed in the region...There is only one way to stop the current wars and conflicts in the region: adopting a firm line with the Iranian regime and supporting the popular uprising for a democratic change in Iran.”

France and Germany ask Putin to stop Syria attacks, hope for ceasefire

French President Emmanuel Macron and Germanys Chancellor Angela Merkel arrive at a European Union heads of state informal meeting in Brussels, Belgium

- German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron hoped world powers would agree a Syria ceasefire on Friday after they asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to back a corresponding U.N. Security Council resolution.
The two European Union leaders appealed to Putin -- whose military intervention in Syria gave President Bashar al-Assad the upper hand in the seven-year-old conflict -- to stop bombardments of the rebel-held pocket of eastern Ghouta.
Warplanes from Assad’s government forces and their allies pounded the densely populated enclave east of the capital Damascus for a sixth straight day on Friday.
“France and Germany call for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the implementation of a ceasefire to provide civilian support, humanitarian access and medical evacuation, as called for by the UN,” the two governments said.
“France and Germany call on Russia to shoulder its responsibilities in this regard,” they said in a joint statement as Macron and Merkel met other EU leaders for talks in Brussels.
Following the meeting, EU leaders’ chairman, Donald Tusk told reporters: “The Assad regime is brutally attacking innocent men, women and children. Its backers, Russia and Iran, are allowing this to happen.”
He urged them to stop the violence. The EU called for an immediate ceasefire, urgent humanitarian access to and protection of civilians, he said.
Diplomatic sources told Reuters Merkel and Macron - who both said they hoped the ceasefire would be agreed - were also due to call Putin together after the vote in New York, which had been delayed.
Moscow, which has the power to veto U.N. Security Council resolutions, has often in the past blocked texts that would be damaging to Assad. Russia said on Friday it was ready to support the draft resolution, but with caveats.
The EU as a whole has only played a marginal role in the international diplomacy around the conflict in Syria, where the multi-sided war has killed hundreads of thousands and driven millions from their homes.
The bloc is trying to leverage its role as the world’s top aid donor to woo Assad back into the stalled U.N. peace talks, which have achieved little over the years.
The talks are now deadlocked as Damascus, Moscow and their other ally Tehran attempt a final push to re-establish Assad’s rule.

Iranian Resistance strongly condemns terrorist attacks in Sinai and the killing of hundreds of defenseless worshipers

National Council of Resistance of Iran

The Iranian Resistance strongly condemns the anti-Islamic and inhumane terrorist crime in the north of the Sinai Peninsula that has hitherto caused 235 casualties and numerous injuries, offers its deepest condolences to the Egyptian people and the government of Egypt, especially to the families of victims, and prays for speedy recovery for the wounded.
The brutal crime against humanity in the Sinai Peninsula, particularly against the worshipers, once again showed that the criminal terrorism under the banner of Islam, whether Shia or Sunni, not only has nothing to do with Islam, but is in stark contrast to its great teachings.
The Iranian people, who have been suffering terrorism and fundamentalism for four decades, and 120,000 of their children have been executed by the terrorists ruling Iran, feel the suffering of the Egyptian people well and share it.
This anti-human terrorism in its current dimensions has emerged in the aftermath of the rise of religious fascism in Iran in 1979.  For four decades, the Velayat-e faqih state ruling Iran has been practically the capital of export of terrorism and fundamentalism, and encourager, promoter, educator and exporter of terrorism, and all terrorist entities are directly or indirectly linked to this crime center. The regime is exploiting those countries in the region that has close relations with them to develop and spread terrorism and fundamentalism. In order to put an end to this cycle of blood and horror, it must be defeated in its center in Tehran under the rule of the mullahs.
